Dr. Stein is a Birmingham native who completed her early education within the Inverness/Oak Mountain school system. She attended Oak Mountain High School ('04), where she first discovered her passion for psychology and other social sciences. After graduating from Oak Mountain, she majored in psychology and played on the women's soccer team at Birmingham-Southern College (Bachelor of Science, '08).
Following college, Dr. Stein earned her master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi ('13). She then completed a two-year pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she focused on medical psychology and behavioral health within the veteran population.
Dr. Stein worked at an outpatient mental health clinic for 9 years before moving to independent private practice in 2023. During her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with her husband and their two rescue dogs.
